<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span>The Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) is responsible for the coordination of the application activities within the assigned territory for complex or unqualified orders and orders of a significant value that cannot be handled within the Engineering Value Stream or STAMP accounts.   Working in concert with Technical Field Sales, the TSE will be the main point of contact for the customer and create reasonable and efficient product design/development engineering solutions.  The successful incumbent will be responsive to the customer and drive the project/order through processes in an effective and efficient manner; this will include coordination of product materials, testing, prototyping, quality, development of quotations (pricing) and project management for successful project development and release.   The TSE will look for the next opportunity within the customer (prospecting).</p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span>Additionally, the Technical Sales Engineer will be the first point of contact in troubleshooting applications, asking clarifying technical questions and will make the decision to transfer the issue to Master Care and be responsible for coordinating additional personnel to the customer site to resolve the problem.</p>

<li>When speaking with Customers, looks for opportunities for the next sale promptly and effectively – prospecting &#8211; Builds Customer relationships and a network within the Customers’ site.</li>
<li>Has superior product knowledge of the products and has the ability to communicate features, technical capability and new product offerings to Customers.</li>

<li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span>As the main point of contact to the Customer, the TSE is required to coordinate the project plan for the order through the process to meet the required time line of the customer e.g. design, manufacturing, testing, prototyping, quality, development of quotations, etc.</li>
<li>Prepare quotations on orders- negotiates price as required under prescribed standards</li>
<li>Organize and lead Technical Review meetings to ensure orders and technical inquiries of Customers are identified to meet Customer requirements and recommends changes for a suitable hot runner system;</li>
<li>Ask clarifying questions to gain a clear understanding of the customers’ needs and then matches the technical solution to those needs and the value proposition.</li>
<li>Respond to technical queries by Customers and Sales representatives for trouble shooting and prospecting, custom engineered solutions</li>
<li>First point of contact for troubleshooting systems – makes the decision to transfer issue to Master Care; Advise whenever field service is recommended;</li>
<li>Assess and analyze the applications for resin specifications, gate locations etc., and recommend simulation analysis as required for the project to ensure conclusive results; then evaluate the results to suggest best solution to customers by providing the Report document;</li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Review technical feasibility of special spare parts; </span></li>
</ol>

<ul>
<li><strong><em><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;">Engineering Solutions: </span></em></strong></li>

<li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;">Evaluate the results of Mold flow / Rheology /  FEA analysis and suggest best solution to customers;</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;">Review technical inquiries of customers to recommend and quote suitable hot runner system;</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;">Provide concept of manifold layout, special components of hot runner system and sufficient data of application to the designer to ensure optimum hot runner system is designed;</span></li>

<li>As necessary, evaluate product and determine disposition, including recommending product repair;</li>
<li>Assist in the resolution and closure of CARs;</li>
<li>Provide leadership and mentorship to cross functional project teams;</li>
<li>Technically supports complex cases regarding returns and repairs;</li>
<li>Travel to the customers’ sites as required.  For TSE’s that deal with STAMP Customers, visit every STAMP customer at once every six months</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Decision Making</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The incumbent of this role has hands-on experience that will allow them to manage their workload independently on a daily basis and monitor the status of the project (order) as it works its’ way through the processes.  As a member of the Technical Sales Engineering Team and the main contact for the sales and agents, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing initiatives to maintain and grow accounts by identifying areas of improvement to better our customer base and in support of the value proposition through interaction with customers.   The TSE also has the ability to negotiate price points with the permitted parameters.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Education and Experience</span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;">The incumbent of this role must have a Degree or Diploma in Engineering, with minimum of six to eight years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with SAP (Pivotal) or an ERP is preferred. The individual should have an excellent record with Engineering, Sales Representatives and Manufacturing to help identify development opportunities and evaluate competitive products.  Previous experience as Process Engineer or Industrial Engineering or Tool and Die Maker would be an asset.  Previous experience with flow/thermal simulation as related to injection molding processes is strongly preferred. </span></p>

<li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span>Coordinate      with assigned project team for each Stage Gate process (scoping, business      case, development, testing, and launch); analyze key project metrics;</li>

<li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the assessment, design and restoration of buildings and infrastructures. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Preference will be given to candidates with practical hands-on experience and previous employment in engineering consulting, structural restoration, or design/build construction. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Proven business development and business management skills are necessary. A strong working knowledge of building and materials science, and restoration of existing structures/facilities is essential.</span></li>

<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span>Structure = base plus commission and car allowance.</li>
<li>Territory = either Southwestern Ontario or the GTA.</li>
<li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span>Responsible for the creation,      implementation and execution of Action Sales Plan.</li>
<li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">G</span>enerate and maintain a      credible forecast for accounts and territories and provide this      information on a regular basis to Senior Management.</li>
<li>Serve as the primary customer      contact for technical and business issues for those accounts and      territories assigned.</li>
<li>Be a “Pioneer” highly, self      motivated to find their next new account and grow their territory.</li>
</ul>
<p>Additional Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Electrical background would be helpful but is not essential(enclosures, electronic controls, valves, sensors, piping, wireless)</li>
<li>Sales and Marketing experience a must.</li>
<li>Experience selling direct to OEM’s.</li>
</ul>
